I contribute where I see something interesting and if I am able to. I have three classes this term and no time for much else. As far as the MUCH part, nah. I am not that deep a thinker, or perceptive.

Did Prayer work for you, or not?
by gaiagirl injws, and christians in genreral, are taught that god answers prayers of sincere believers.
on the other hand, there is a popular bumpersticker which reads "nothing fails like prayer".. what has been your experience in this regard?
did god answer your most heartfelt prayers, or were they ignored?.

Prayer worked for me in the sense that I was able to clear my mind and put my situation into perspective. As far as having prayers answered? No. I pray for God's things to happen, and I have no way of determining if they did or not since everything is INVISIBLE....Oh, and God's answer may be no...so I guess I ask for invisbnle things and for things I shouldn't.

Elder Visits Regarding The Memorial

they do not knock, or if they do, it is so light that with my looking at them, i still can not hear it.

My Non-Earthshaking JW Encounter
by XJW4EVR inthis one is not earthshaking in any way, but i thought i would share it in the hopes that it'll give you the same chuckle that it gave me.. yesterday my wife and i were out on errands, and we ate at a local fast food restaurant.
we ordered, and took our food to our table.
in the table next to us was a mail carrier on his lunch break.

No on Jehovah, well more on the society since they are the mouthpiece, but still some gravy landed on Jah's lapel. He is going to have to be dealt with. (Daniel 2:34,35,44,45) A visiting Brother gave a very interesting talk recently. He spoke very slowly and clearly so all of the friends were able to follow along closely. The speaker made an interesting point about our printed illustrations that had escaped my notice; If you have a "Your Will Be Done on Earth" book available (1958) turn to page 112. Here is a picture of Daniel 's dream image. Notice where the stone is that is 'cut from the mountain of Jehovah 's universal sovereignty.' Pretty close to the mountain,(not the image) Now open your "Pay Attention to Daniel's Prophecy" book (1999) to page 58. Notice where the stone is now some 40 years later!(closer to the image!) An amazing comparison! Finally, open a copy of the brochure "Keep On the Watch" (2004) to page 15. Do you see where the stone is now? This comparison of the illustrations shows where we are in the stream of time and how close we really are to the start of the great tribulation. Our illustrations really do teach us!

Just when I believed I was making some headway and becoming more spiritual, it would be pointed out how we needed to do more. So, I suppose that I was always weak, or at least not up to par with what they wanted.
